酒を入れる容器です。下部に小さな孔があり、その孔から杯に注いだり、直接飲んだりしました。このリュトンは、角杯と呼ばれる山羊や牛の角を用いた杯の形をまねてつくられたもので、角杯の先端に当たる部分は羊の形になっています。表面はきれいに磨かれ、赤い顔料で斜格子文様などが描かれています。

Rhytons are drinking or pouring vessels with a hole at the bottom from which liquid flows. This horn-shaped example made of clay terminates in the forepart of a sheep with a spout in the middle of the chest. The surface is decorated with lattice patterns in red.
